Dr. Kim graduated from Duke University and obtained his medical degree from New York Medical College. From there, he completed both his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology fellowship at Tufts New England Medical Center. Ever since medical school, he has had an interest in the study of liver disease and has written articles on hepatitis C, PBC, PSC, and fatty liver disease. He is currently Medical Director of the Amita Hepatitis C clinic and serves on the medical advisory committee for the American Liver Foundation. He has been a long standing member of the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease and has given numerous talks and webinars on various liver disease. While his primary focus is on liver disease, Dr. Kim enjoys all aspects of gastroenterology and is highly proficient in general endoscopic procedures. His core principle is to treat all patients with exceptional care that is based on up-to-date information in a manner that is caring and trustworthy.
